ROCHELLE COMMUNITY ENDOWMENT FUND

A permanent, endowed, unrestricted fund established by Leonard Carmichael in 2005, from which annual grants are made to local nonprofit organizations working to serve people and enhance the community in the greater Rochelle area.

Provides a permanent stream of income for operations and administration of the Rochelle Area Community Foundation. Established by Phil Hasz, a founding member of the Foundation, in honor of the many community leaders who have worked to build and shape the community.

ROCHELLE FOODS HUNGER CHALLENGE FUND

A permanent, endowed, field of interest fund established in 2011 by Rochelle Foods with a grant from Hormel Charitable Foundation. Provides funds for hunger relief in the greater Rochelle Area.

RTHSEF ENDOWMENT FOR EDUCATION FUND

A permanent, endowed fund, established in 2011 with a Leonard Carmichael Matching grant. Income from this fund will benefit programs of Rochelle Township High School.

THE HUB CITY SENIOR CENTER FUND

The purpose of this fund is to build a permanent stream of income to benefit the Hub City Senior Center for years to come.

THE ROCHELLE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH ENDOWMENT FUND

To benefit the long term needs of the Rochelle United Methodist Church.

BERG-BURKHOLDER FAMILY FUND

Dennis “Bergy” and Avis Berg, in partnership with Bob Burkholder, recently established the Berg-Burkhulder Family Fund here at the Rochelle Area Community Foundation (RACF). Bob and Bergy came together to create this fund in honor of Bob’s wife and Bergy’s sister, Donna, who passed away in March of 2014 due to ALS, and Bob and Donna’s two sons, Andrew and Jarrett, whose lives were also tragically cut short in a car accident 18 years ago.

DANIEL & STEPHANIE WILLIAMS FUND FOR THE ARTS

The Daniel & Stephanie Williams Fund for the Arts was established with the Rochelle Area Community Foundation on August 1, 2018 as an “acorn fund” with a gift of $1,000.00. Through their own creative efforts, the fund quickly grew to become a permanent Donor Advised Fund from which the Williams recommend grants in the area of Arts and Culture to the Community Foundation Board.

To support expenses toward tuition for higher education for those committed to teaching in Rochelle Schools for the dual language program. 

ED AND ANN RICE GIVING FUND

Ed and Ann have humbly given their time and energy in support of the Rochelle Community and surrounding area throughout their lives. This family fund was established for them by Joe and Marian Rice to expand upon their generous spirit. The fund will support organizations consistent with Ann and Ed’s community contributions over the years.

H.P. "JIM" WALKER MEMORIAL ENDOWMENT FUND

Jim Walker began his career working for the International Harvester Company in locations in Wisconsin and Illinois. In 1969, he and business partner Wayne Schork, moved their families to Rochelle to own and operate Walker-Schork International, the local International Harvester dealership.

JACOBS FAMILY FUND

JEFFRY W. COLE FAMILY MEMORIAL FUND

The Jeffrey W. Cole family foundation fund was created in 2007 in memory of Jeff and his family. Jeff, his wife Sheri, his daughter Gracie, and their unborn daughter Baby Cole were killed in an automobile accident in 2006 which occurred just North of the intersection of Hwy 64 and Hwy 251 in Ogle County, Illinois. Jeff and Sheri’s daughter, Alli Cole was then three years old and the only survivor of the accident.
