Provides a permanent stream of income for operations and administration of the Rochelle Area Community Foundation. Established by Phil Hasz, a founding member of the Foundation, in honor of the many community leaders who have worked to build and shape the community.

A permanent, endowed, unrestricted fund established by Leonard Carmichael in 2005, from which annual grants are made to local nonprofit organizations working to serve people and enhance the community in the greater Rochelle area.

Coronavirus Response Fund     /     Learn More »

Provides grants to nonprofit organizations responding to the needs of the community related to the COVID-19 pandemic and resulting hardships placed on people and organizations.  Contributions to the fund will be spent as needs emerge due to the pandemic.  At the conclusion of pandemic response period any funds remaining will be invested with the Community Endowment Fund to meet the longer-term needs of the community.

Jim Walker began his career working for the International Harvester Company in locations in Wisconsin and Illinois. In 1969, he and business partner Wayne Schork, moved their families to Rochelle to own and operate Walker-Schork International, the local International Harvester dealership.

The Daniel & Stephanie Williams Fund for the Arts was established with the Rochelle Area Community Foundation on August 1, 2018 as an “acorn fund” with a gift of $1,000.00. Through their own creative efforts, the fund quickly grew to become a permanent Donor Advised Fund from which the Williams recommend grants in the area of Arts and Culture to the Community Foundation Board.
